What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I’ve always loved mysteries, especially those involving Agatha Christie's Miss Marple. Perhaps because Miss Marple reminded me of my aunts when I was growing up. But Christie never told us much about Miss Marple's earlier life. When writing my own elderly super-sleuth series, I will trace her career from the start.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Miss Riddell is based on my aunts when I was growing up. All were nurses and no-nonsense characters.
Inspector Ramsay and the other male characters are based on my uncles who were also down-to-earth characters, with infinite patience for small children.
