What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have spent the last few years writing of history and historical fiction which are each very demanding of research. I needed a break from that and a contemporary story that demanded only imagination seemed to fit the bill. Little did I realize how difficult it would be for an older man to put himself in the shoes of a young girl. Quite the challenge!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The name of the lead character is that of a neighbor, although she is very different to our heroine. When one starts from the premise that the lead character has almost nothing going for her except her looks, the rest is a build-up using pure imagination. The lead male is a necessary adjunct, demanding a strong character. Who else but a federal agent?
