A unit of the Seventh Cavalry is on a mission over Afghanistan when their plane is hit by something. The soldiers bail out of the crippled plane, but when the thirteen men and women reach the ground, they are not in Afghanistan. Not only are they four thousand miles from their original destination, it appears they have descended two thousand years into the past, where primitive forces fight each other with swords and arrows. The platoon is thrown into a battle where they must choose sides quickly or die. They are swept along in a tide of events so powerful, their courage, ingenuity, and weapons are tested to the limits of their durability and strength.
Targeted Age Group:: Adult. I would rate my book as PG-13
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
This is an Alt History novel. I've been interested in the history of the Second Punic War since high school. This story is about Hannibal and how he took his army, along with 39 elephants over the Alps to attack the Romans.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Several of the characters are based on men and women I served with in the military. Hannibal, Liada, Tin Tin Ban Sunia come from a Historical Novel I wrote 5 years ago. The title is Hannibal's Elephant Girl.

After two days of rest, they crossed the Alpine meadow and entered the rocky slopes of the higher Alps. With each passing hour, the trail grew steeper and the vegetation thinner.
On the second morning out of the Alpine camp, they awoke to an icy wind blowing off the glaciers above. The elephants’ coats were unrolled and fastened with straps beneath their bellies, then their boots were put on and laced tight. Progress was slowed as the lead elephants struggled against a cold wind flecked with snow.
That night, they camped on a scree of rocks and granite boulders. With no firewood, they ate a cold supper of jerky and bread. They had no way of staking their tents down in the rocks, so the men and women of the Seventh huddled together on the lee side of a boulder and slept in fitful naps. Liada was there, curled up next to Kawalski, while Tin Tin slept with Joaquin. Autumn and Karina, as they’d done for the past several nights, spent the night with Hannibal and Rocrainium.
