Lucy has a poor self-opinion. She sees herself as overweight, unloved and confused about the future and her sexuality. She is self-harming, worrying over forthcoming exams and not on good terms with her parents. What’s more, the coronavirus is sweeping across England and the country is on the verge of lockdown. She’ll lose contact with her friends and be unable to develop a relationship with Kell, a boy in her school year, or with her beautiful best friend, Fortine. What does she do? Can she find an ally in these difficult times?
“I’ll start at the beginning. Long ago, before roads, before we built structures, before medicine was discovered, before the government was created, before man gained any knowledge, there were The Five. Independent from each other, The Five had a mutual respect for one another. They knew their roles in the world and their duty. They were gods…”
An adventure begins when an otherworldly tree captures the attention of Megan and her friends. The environment morphs around them, transferring them to an exotic planet. Stuck in a rural town still maimed by the plague, a chance encounter with a familiar face gives Megan and her friends some security during their adjustment period.
While settling into new, promising lives, they are attacked and stalked by planet Dalya’s humanoid inhabitants, who focus on Megan. One dark night, after an epic, magical attack, the Fae King’s knight is sent to fetch Megan. When she wakes up a prisoner, she learns that there is much more to this strange world, and it is oddly more like her own than she ever would have expected.

I thought of a twisted version of the Christian song—Lord of the Dance. I thought of a king who heard that song and created a sinister version that he sang while slaughtering his people.
Which made me think of his daughter and her story.
She wanted to love me, but her family wanted me dead. Born a mafia princess, Kelsie had no idea she’d be crossing names off the Beneventi hit list. With each assassination, she lost a piece of her humanity. She clung to me, daring me to push her away, but I loved her too much to let her go. Love complicated everything, until she realized I was #31 on her list.

Powerful female leads. I wanted to write about a character who stepped out of her box and became a symbol of power in her family.
Someone is killing unmarked souls, and Ru Roberts is the only one that can stop them. That’s a bit of a problem, though, since she has no idea she’s a Keeper.
When the devastatingly handsome Cutter Michaels comes to town and starts filling Ru’s head with all sorts of fantasies, telling her she’s the daughter of a half-angel and half-demon, and the only one who can help them locate and destroy three portals to hell, she thinks he’s nuts. He says he needs her help to stop the Grim Reapers who are using the portals to ferry souls away, and Ru finds herself being sucked into his delusions.
Once she begins having strange dreams and comes face to face with Thanatos, the most powerful Reaper of all, Ru thinks there might be something to Cutter’s claims. Will joining him help Ru to discover the powers coursing through her veins, or will Thanatos claim her as his own?
The only crop left is human.
After genetically altered weeds devastate Earth’s croplands, Dr. Tula Macoby believes photosynthetic skin can save the human race. Her people single-mindedly embark on a mission to convert the cannibals roaming what’s left of Earth. But when Levi, a peaceful stranger, refuses alteration, Tula doesn’t think the only options should be conversion or death.
Levi Kraybill, a devout member of the Old Order, left his Holdout farmland to seek a cure for his terminally ill son. Genetic manipulation is a sin, but Levi will do almost anything for the life of his child. When he’s captured, he’s sure he’s damned, and his only escape will be death.
Tula’s superiors schedule Levi’s euthanization, and she risks everything to set the innocent man free. Now she and Levi are outlaws with her people, and she’s an abomination with his. Can they find sanctuary in a cannibal wasteland?

Boy Meets Nerd is the new adult I just published. I was inspired by the show on MTV called Catfish. Catfishing is when you pretend to be someone you’re not online to get a date or start a romance. I thought the concept was interesting for a book. My hero, Levi, is being catfished by who he thinks is his dream girl online. He hires Emerson, a cute hacker chick, to investigate. The two make the most unlikely pair as they journey together to uncover this girl’s hidden identity.
Who are your favorite authors?
For my paranormal series, definitely Kresley Cole. A Hunger Like No Other was the first romance novel I ever read. I loved her blend of humor, sexiness, and depth. It inspired me to write my own series and find that perfect balance.
It’s your typical Girl meets Boy. Except Girl is already engaged to someone else. And when Girl starts her very first teaching job she discovers Boy is actually one of her students. It was all impossible from the start.
And yet, Ashley keeps finding herself drawn to Ethan. Life keeps them on a collision course, forcing them to confront their feelings, their choices and their regrets over the span of years. Is it their fate to be together, or will bad timing and bad choices drive them apart for good?
Ashley has never quite known which path to take. She feels the pressure of the one everyone else wanted for her and the one that is risky and unknown, beckoning her with unrealised dreams. But she is stuck — stalled at every crossroad.
How can she choose the right path, when life seems to throw her a curve with every step?
Lidda Kandell’s best friends at college are not what they seem. They give her a strange toy, called a Magiton, which reads her mind, accelerates her learning, and creates hallucinations for her entertainment. She discovers that it contains a twisted personality of alien origin and is thousands of years old. She gives it a pet name, Widhbo (wee’ bow).
Lidda soon learns that her friends aren’t from Earth either. Just as she is falling in love with a handsome alien, she discovers that her own identity is in question. She has been cleverly deceived and manipulated from birth to assist them in fighting a galactic battle against an evil Dark Overlord who threatens the very existence of her planet. Widhbo assists Lidda in developing a superior line of androids to populate the Earth in the attempt to create an island of hope for the universe.
Lidda learns that the cosmos has become populated with Magitons, beings who long ago transcended their humble organic origins, uploaded their minds into nearly indestructible crystalline vessels, and achieved immortality. Traveling the vast expanses of space and absorbing the learning of every civilization they find, Magitons have achieved incredible power and are essentially gods to the mortals they encounter. But now one of these immensely powerful beings has gone mad, and the other Magitons have placed all their hope in humanity-their own humble origins-in a long-shot attempt to defeat the Dark Overlord and prevent him from becoming the Great Destroyer of Prophesy.
Lidda falls in and out of love, struggling to maintain her humanity, as her life and everything she believes is turned upside down. Her definition of reality is constantly challenged. The new androids discover they have a soul and Widhbo becomes harder to handle as he loses his fragile hold on sanity. Lidda must decide what she is willing to sacrifice in the battle against a demon with the power of a thousand worlds in order to save them all.
This is the first novel published in the Universe series.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have always had stories inside of me demanding my attention and like most authors, I love to read as well. I enjoy science fiction and fantasy, so wanted to write a series that explores the frontier of humans learning to live in space combined with paranormal phenomenon. I wanted to create a universe that could explain everything we experience or believe in terms of science and physics, while exploring the eternal struggle between good and evil or probing the supernatural. My main inspiration is to write a good story with a sense of humor that entertains the reader.
